We are proud to announce that Dongin Kim, Sandro Steinbach, and Carlos Zurita, have been selected as recipients of the prestigious 2025 Outstanding Published Research Award by the Western Agricultural Economics Association (WAEA).

Their paper, “Deep Trade Agreements and Agri-Food Global Value Chain Integration”, published in Food Policy (2024), was recognized for its outstanding contribution to the field of agricultural economics. The study offers critical insights into how deep trade agreements shape and enhance the integration of global agri-food value chains—an increasingly important topic in today’s interconnected economy.

The award will be officially presented at the joint annual meeting of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) and WAEA, to be held July 27–29, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.
